Dry Eye / Ocular Surface Disease
Dry Eye Disease
Dry eyes have multiple causes and symptoms, including chronic redness, irritation, and blurred vision. Dry eye is common and often chronic.
Vision Correction
Implantable Contact Lenses
ICLs are inserted into your eye to minimize the need for glasses or contacts. They are an alternative to LASIK or PRK.
LASIK
LASIK is a very popular and effective form of laser vision correction surgery. It minimizes the need for glasses or contact lenses.
Photorefractive Keratectomy
Photorefractive keratectomy (PRK) is a common form of laser vision correction surgery. It is highly effective and minimizes the need for glasses.
Refractive Lens Exchange
Refractive Lens Exchange replaces the natural lens of your eye with one that can help minimize glasses for distance, intermediate, and/or near vision. A great option for ages 50+.
Presbyopia
Presbyopia is the slow, natural, and progressive loss of near vision that takes place with all men and women as they reach and surpass the age of 40.
Astigmatism
Astigmatism is a very common visual impairment that is caused by the unique shape of the cornea. Most astigmatism can be fully corrected.
Myopia
A common vision impairment, myopia (most commonly referred to as nearsightedness) makes it difficult for individuals to see things that are far away.
Hyperopia
Hyperopia is a vision condition that describes the ability to read or see objects that are far away but not those that are nearby.
Cataracts
Optimized Cataract Surgery
Optimized cataract surgery is a safe, effective, minimally-invasive, cataract removal procedure that uses cutting-edge technology for surgical precision.
Basic Cataract Surgery
Cataracts decrease your quality of vision. To see clearly again, basic cataract surgery replaces your natural lens. Glasses are then used for best vision.
Oculoplastic Treatments
Blepharoplasty
Blepharoplasty is a surgical procedure used to lift the upper and/or lower eyelids. Excess skin is reduced to improve both appearance and function.
Ptosis Repair
Ptosis repair surgery raises the height of a droopy eyelid. A heavy lid is most commonly caused by weakened or stretched muscles of the upper eyelid.
Entropion & Ectropion Repair
Eyelids that are turned inward (entropion) or outward (ectropion) may cause irritation and/or tearing. Surgical and nonsurgical methods can help.
Eyelid Conditions
Dr. Tendler is skilled in performing minor procedures to treat multiple eyelid conditions (ie. chalazion, lumps/bumps, trichiasis, and excess tearing).
Floaters
YAG Vitreolysis
When “floating” specs in your eye are impacting your vision, we can manage it with a procedure called YAG.
